The family and friends of Jennie Blades, invite you to support a mother, widow, and family matriarch.

After losing the love of her life, Don, to cancer in September 2017, Jennie was diagnosed in March 2019 with normal pressure hydrocephalus. This disease interferes with Jennie’s mobility and memory. Just one month later, in April, Jennie was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. In order to begin treatment, a port had to be placed. The port that Jennie had turned septic and caused an eight day hospital stay. After recovering from that infection, she completed radiation and chemotherapy. Jennie will still need to undergo up to one year of immunotherapy. Jennie’s insurance hasn’t covered all of her medical bills, and with a fixed income, her prescription and medical costs are mounting.

We are holding a benefit for Jennie in the Banquet Hall at All Star Lanes in La Crosse on Saturday, October 26, 2019. The free-will donation benefit will include a BBQ sandwich meal. There will be a silent auction, Chinese raffle, bake sale, 50/50, and more! Our hope is that you will be able to joint us in support of Jennie by attending and participating in the benefit
