G.E.T. FRESH Back to School Readiness Event
August 25 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm CDT
G.E.T. Fresh! is open to all on a first come first serve basis and shows care for the community’s families by providing not only a backpack filled with school supplies for approximately 120 students of all ages, but also Stylists who are experienced with braiding and locs, working with waves, curls, coils, and ringlets that will be available to help students look and feel their best for the 2024/2025 school year!
Bikers Against Child Abuse will be providing youth and their families with breakfast (Pancake & Sausage) and Beer By Bike Brigade along with Rudy’s Drive-in and Press Break will be providing lunch (hot dogs, chips and a beverage) in a community-style environment and there will be 12 partnering agencies in attendance providing resources and interactive activities appropriate for all ages. This event is a “sit and stay a while” type of event for the family and the student while continuing to GET our youth Fresh for the fall semester.
