On Wednesday, September 18th at 5:30 PM, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse’s Smart Girls program will be participating in the “Fashion for Women’s Empowerment” event at Maple Grove Venues. This is a fashion show raising money to benefit the “Smart Girls” program. This program is designed to build self-confidence and identity in teen girls. Throughout the summer girls have participated in a variety of discussion-based projects with Espa owner, Estina Hanes. 6 members have been selected to walk in the fashion show to represent local shops (Willow, Mainstream Boutique, Unique Boutique, Dale’s, Uptown Cycle, and Touch of Class)
