HORSESENSE KENTUCKY DERBY PARTY THIS SATURDAY

HorseSense and the Charmant Hotel are partnering together in celebration of the 151st Kentucky Derby by hosting a special Watch Party from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 3. The event will benefit their Adaptive Riding and Horsemanship Programs at HorseSense.

Ashley Adams, Lead Instructor at HorseSense, joined the Morning Buzz to talk about how their programs help members of our community and the fun on tap for Saturday!

Attendees can look forward to an afternoon filled with Derby-themed festivities, including:
● 50/50 Cash Raffles: Three drawings will be held at 2 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. Tickets are priced
at $5 each or five for $20.
● Bucket Raffle: A variety of prizes will be available. Tickets are $10 each, with winners
announced at 6 p.m.
● Mint Julep Cocktails: The Charmant Hotel will offer the classic Derby beverage, generously
donating $1 from each sale to support HorseSense’s programs.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in their best Derby Day attire—think bowties, big hats, and bold
colors—as part of the festive atmosphere.

All proceeds from the event will directly benefit HorseSense’s adaptive horseback riding and
horsemanship programs, which serve youth, adults, and military veterans with disabilities in the greater
La Crosse area.
