RACING FOR ABILITIES KENTUCKY DERBY FUNDRAISER

Ability Building Community – ABC has been providing services for individuals with disabilities through community inclusion since 1956! Their community inclusion programs need funding, so they’re having a big fundraiser at Time Out Tavern!

Sammie Sherry, Program Manager at Woodland Industries in Caledonia, joined the Buzz to talk about what they do and fun details for the event:

Giddy up over to TimeOut Tavern in La Crescent for Racing for Abilities – a Kentucky Derby Fundraiser that benefits individuals with disabilities in Houston County!

A day and night at the races featuring:

– Silent Auction
– Live Auction
– Raffles (including a Gun Raffle)
– Hat Contest – Come dressed to impress in your finest Derby hat for a chance to win!

Wristbands include a refreshing Mint Julep and access to their Derby Buffet

It’s going to be the mane event of the season – full of charm, fast bids, and some good ol’ fashioned fun. So throw on your best bowtie or fascinator and pony up for a great cause!

Proceeds will directly benefit a variety of recreation and work opportunities in the community through Ability Building Community – ABC.
