ROCKIN’ FOR REBECCA 12-HOUR FUNDRAISER CONCERT THIS SATURDAY

Chris Hand has been very active in La Crosse’s music scene for 25 years and is a dear friend of mine. He’s played in many bands over the years, primarily as a bassist, but also other instruments, having supported numerous musicians.
Chris’s mother, Rebecca Hand, received a liver transplant in November 2024 for a non-alcohol related liver disease that she lived with for over a decade. Rebecca has experienced serious financial struggles from missing work due to her illness. It is truly a miracle that she received a liver for her rare blood type, however it does not come without a cost. Rebecca has had, and will continue to have, large financial obligations from out-of-pocket costs related to medical care and life-saving medications, for the rest of her life.
Chris has called in a ton of talented musicians to put on a benefit concert this Saturday, March 29th, at the Popcorn Tavern in downtown La Crosse. There will be 12 hours of music from 2p-close on TWO stages with a ton of raffles, auctions, food, tip boards and more to support her recovery efforts and raise the funds needed to make Rebecca’s second chance at life a success!
