Written by on March 4, 2025

If you have clothes you’re no longer using, or E-Waste, Western Technical College is hosting two coinciding drive-thru events for the public on Friday, March 7 from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at Western’s Parking Lot H.

Julie Christensen, Community Engagement Coordinator at Western, joined the Morning Buzz to tell us about collection, and the distribution event:

Western Cares Community Clothing Event: Western’s Basic Needs team will be collecting new or gently used professional clothing in a variety of styles and sizes. Clothing will be accepted for all ages.
The items will be available to students and the public who may not have access to clothing for job interviews and other professional occasions on March 19 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and again on March 20 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Lunda Center, 319 7th St. N., La Crosse.

E-Waste Recycling event: Western’s Student-Run Help Desk will be recycling old technology items for the public. The event will accept modems, speakers, PCs, keyboards, gaming systems, laptops, printers, and LCD monitors. Please note that waste must be transported in a vehicle trunk, pickup bed or trailer. Volunteers will not enter a backseat of vehicles to retrieve waste.
