BBBS TEAMS UP WITH NFL FOR BIG DRAFT FOR NEW MENTORS

January is National Mentoring Month!
For more than 55 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the 7 Rivers Region (BBBS7RR) has been creating and empowering life-changing relationships for children and youth who face adversity in Southwestern Wisconsin and Southeastern Minnesota.
They will be participating in “The Big Draft,” a collaborative effort with the NFL Inspire Change Initiative and Big Brothers Big Sisters to inspire potential volunteers and mentors to begin the journey of mentoring children in the community.
Jeanne Meyer, BBBS7RR Executive Director, joined the Morning Buzz to talk about the Big Draft and announce Catered For Kids’ Sake 2025:
Statewide, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wisconsin is looking to, “draft,” 700 new mentors during the draft duration. Locally, BBBS7RR is looking to draft 50 new mentors. The recruitment campaign aims to gain mass amounts of new mentors, to meet the growing needs of children in various communities across the nation, with a specific emphasis in Wisconsin, based on the upcoming NFL Draft hosted in Green Bay. The Big Draft kicks off on February 10th, 2025, and will commence at the beginning of the NFL Draft, hosted in Green Bay, starting April 24th, 2025. You can learn more about the draft HERE.
BBBS7RR is thrilled to invite you to Catered For Kids’ Sake 2025, a signature event that benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of the 7 Rivers Region. This exciting evening supports our mission to ignite potential in at-risk children and youth through one-to-one mentoring.
