MIA’S KITCHEN GRAND OPENING – HEAR FROM THE 18-YEAR-OLD THAT JUST OPENED A FOOD TRUCK!
Written by Ballzer on November 14, 2024
When Mia Davis was only 15 years old, she started cooking and catering events professionally, opening Mia’s Kitchen. If you haven’t had her food at events in the area over the years, you have been missing out! She recently bought a food truck, offering Southern and Caribbean inspired food, and has been serving in downtown La Crosse.
Mia is having her official Grand Opening this Saturday, November 16th, from 11a-6p, at the WWBIC La Crosse Building, 3500 State Road 16. It’s the old bank building in the mall parking lot, you won’t be able to miss her beautiful pink food truck!
We caught up with Mia, who has been a friend of show through her work with Black Student Leaders, Hope Restores, and more.
They plan to host three raffles during Saturday’s grand opening event. The prizes include a $25 gift certificate, a $50 gift certificate, and a $100 gift certificate. These certificates can be utilized for catering services or food truck purchases.
Follow Mia’s Kitchen on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook to see where they’ll be next!
Mia is also now one of the co-owners of Lipa Yoga Studio in La Crosse, and a member of the La Crosse SOUP board.

@miaskitchenn1 Saturday, August 17th 2024 we had the privilege of cohosting our first annual Back to School event in Clarendon Jamaica. ????????????We brought over 40 backpacks, school supplies, and female hygiene products. The opportunity I had connecting with the youth has not only inspired me but motivated me to continue extending a helping hand and make a positive difference for a greater future. I am committed to creating a better and more united world for all. We will continue this event for years to come. I challenge my communities and more to join in on the creation of this project. Our goal next year is to provide over 100 backpacks full for this beautiful community. WA huge thank you to this amazing Clarendon church for hosting this beautiful event. They are providing education, meals, and other services for families within their communities. Thank you to Ministry of Health & Wellness, Pan American Health Organization, Jamaica Move, and Health Care Workers. Proving urine test, blood pressure test, vaccinations, and basic medical check up. #lacrossewisconsin #youngbuisnessowner #smallbuisnessowner #weddingcateringideas #smallbuisnesssupport #jamaica #volunteer #jamaicatiktok #jamaicatiktok #jamaicantiktok????????viral ♬ One Love – Bob Marley & The Wailers
