Hometown Crowd Welcomes Back Olympian Suni Lee At Minneapolis Airport

Over the last year, Olympic gymnast Suni Lee has been though it.
Back in 2023, Suni was diagnosed with two rare kidney diseases and even made an announcement that she was stepping away from the sport to focus on her health. All while aiming to compete in the Paris games.
Doctors gave her the go-ahead to start training in early 2024. She placed 2nd at the Trials in June and brought in a personal best score on the uneven bars. Of course, she then went on the bring the USA a gold and two bronze medals at the games.
Now that the games are over, a crowd of fans and well-wishers showed up at the Minneapolis-St Paul Airport Sunday to welcome Suni home.
