Philadelphia Airport Reports Snow Fall In Middle Of July

A trace amount of snowfall was reported Sunday at the Philadelphia International Airport, even as the temps reached 94 degrees.
The National Weather Service records small hail as snow. (Today, I learned….)
According to Fox Philadelphia:
“While rare, it is not unusual,” the National Weather Service said, citing over a dozen other times a trace of snow was recorded at PHL during the summer due to thunderstorm hail.”
The last time this occurred was in August 2011.
