MARISA ABELA TAKES ON THE ROLE OF AMY WINEHOUSE IN BIOPIC

I remember it like it was yesterday. I was on a summer road trip with my family in Wisconsin Dells when we heard the news of Amy Winehouse’s passing, on July 23, 2011. Amy was only 27-years-old when she died. “Amy Winehouse died of accidental alcohol poisoning, according to NBC News reporting. A coroner determined that the singer “died as a result of alcohol toxicity” and had a blood alcohol level that was five times the legal driving limit.” She was just two months shy of her 28th birthday.
