Only a few months away from the return of football and the Packers fired up the hype machine by announcing they’ll be squaring off against Philadelphia on week 1 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
This will be Green Bay’s second international game as they played in London back in 2022.
Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy said in a statement:
“We’re looking forward to being a part of this historic matchup against the Eagles in São Paulo. We’re excited to play in front of our devoted fans in Brazil and help build upon the international popularity of the NFL and the Packers. We had a great experience playing internationally for the first time a couple of years ago and we’re proud to be part of the league’s continued global growth.”
The game will take place in Corinthians Arena, the home of the SC Corinthians soccer team. The stadium has also hosted events during the Olympics in 2016 and the World Cup back in 2014.
Packers/Eagles will kick off on Friday, September 6th.
