The Minnesotan Accent Listed Amongst The “Sexiest” In The United States

A new list from a sports betting website listed the top 10 sexiest accents in the US and the Midwestern accent was listed at number 9.

According to CBS News:
In 2013…Dr. John Spartz, a linguistics professor at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, said it is actually an upper Midwest dialect that includes Minnesota, parts of North Dakota and South Dakota, northern Iowa and western Wisconsin. He said the long vowels and sentence structure come from the Norwegians, Swedes and Germans who settled here in the later 1800s
