NEIGHBORS DAY WITH HABITAT FOR HUMANITY – VOLUNTEER OR ASK FOR ASSISTANCE HERE

Neighbors Day is Saturday, April 27th from 8 am to 3 pm! It has been a popular event since 1996. In 2023, over 500 people volunteered at almost 200 homes, bringing much-needed help to neighbors throughout the city.

Habitat for Humanity’s Neighbors Day is a family-friendly, active, outdoor event that brings people together for the common good. It’s also a great volunteer activity for groups. Faith communities, organizations, businesses, families, and other groups can put their teams together for a fun-filled day supporting our community members.

Kahya Fox, the executive director at Habitat, told us about Neighbors Day and how to either ask for assistance or volunteer your time.

As Kahya explained, no experience is required and Habitat provides all the tools you’ll need. Volunteers team up to rake leaves, turn garden beds, wash windows, and trim shrubs. You’ll also get a couple of meals throughout the day to fuel you up for your efforts.
