Jason Kelce, the center for the Philadelphia Eagles, has officially announced his retirement from the NFL after playing his entire career, spanning 13 seasons, with the Philadelphia Eagles. He has a Super Bowl win to his credit, and he ended his career with an impressive record of 156 straight starts, earning six All-Pro Team selections. Jason is married and has three daughters.
Jason sat down at the press conference and said, “This is gonna be long”. He was right! Jason spoke for over 40 minutes. He shared his emotional thoughts about his love for football and his decision to move on from the sport. Jason recounted his journey through the game and thanked everyone who helped him get there. He often shares his emotions with the world, and this was no exception. He stopped to let out the tears and compose himself.
Jason’s younger brother, Kansas City Chiefs player, Travis Kelce couldn’t hide his emotion during his brother’s speech either. Jason’s whole family was there to support him on such a bittersweet day.

A beautiful moment to see Jason’s family going through this with him. He is looking at them often throughout the speech #Eagles pic.twitter.com/ieIqxDRGt4
I have a feeling that between his singing, supporting his brother’s football career, and his foundation work; Jason Kelce isn’t going anywhere!
