39-year-old Lebron James made history over the weekend as the first NBA player to score a career total of 40,000 points. Amazing!
While everyone in the crowd was celebrating the epic moment, Lebron kept going and didn’t seem to acknowledge the 40,000 flashing across the screen. He didn’t even look up at the screen! I think he should have done a little dance or, at the very least, flashed a smile.
Although the Lakers didn’t beat the Nuggets on Saturday, it was still a historical moment for the NBA and Lebron James. Former Lakers player, Magic Johnson tweeted a video of the milestone basket, saying he was “so glad I was here to witness such an incredible feat!”
Congratulations to LeBron James for being the first and only player in NBA history to score 40,000 points! I’m so glad I was here to witness such an incredible feat! @KingJames pic.twitter.com/IdfjsrSLKJ
