Avril Lavigne Announces “Greatest Hits” Summer Tour

It’s pretty easy this time of year to get bogged down because of the awful weather.

But it’s also one of the best times of the year because artists and festivals are announcing dates and lineups. And daydreaming about live music in the summertime? Hard to be in a bad mood about that!

This morning, Avril Lavigne announced that she’s hitting the road on a 27-date North American tour that kicks off this May in Vancouver and runs through September.

Avril also mentioned that fellow Canadian band Simple Plan will be along for the ride on several dates. Simple Plan actually opened on her first headlining tour back in the early 2000’s

You’ve got three chances to catch her this September as she’ll play the AmFam Amphitheater in Milwuakee, Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island in Chicago and The Armory in Minneapolis.
