THE EXCHANGE – SEASON OF GIVING

Through the effective reuse of donated items, TheExchange La Crosse Furniture Bank collaborates with local organizations to provide home essentials for community members in need. TheExchange provides donated furniture and household goods to families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness, poverty, coming out of domestic violence situations and more. They partner with social service/community advocates to identify and accompany recipients in need.

Ben Hein, Executive Director of Shelter Development, Inc., came in to tell us more about how they help our community and how you can support, too:

When you donate, you’re helping families in need and you’re being a good steward of the earth. theExchange saves thousands of pounds from the landfill each year. 

Thanks to Dairyland Power Cooperative and Your Local Touchstone Energy Cooperatives, we were able to donate $500 to TheExchange!
