KEVIN HART TO RECEIVE THE MARK TWAIN PRIZE FOR AMERICAN HUMOR

Kevin Hart is a funny dude and now he’s getting a high honor for his humor! The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announced that it will present the 25th Mark Twain Prize for American Humor to comedian and actor Kevin Hart. The presentation will take place on March 24 in Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center Concert Hall. Special guests honoring Kevin will be announced at a later date.
As posted the event’s website, “Kevin Hart was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he launched his career as a comedian during an amateur night at a local comedy club. Over the years, Hart has become Hollywood’s box office powerhouse, opening 11 films at number one at the box office and grossing more than in $4.23 billion global revenue. Hart has also become a successful entrepreneur; he is chairman of Hartbeat, a global, multi-platform media company creating entertainment at the intersection of comedy and culture with a mission to “keep the world laughing together.”
Kevin is in great company. Previous recipients of the Mark Twain honor include Richard Pryor, Whoopi Goldberg, Lorne Michaels, Steve Martin, Billy Crystal, Tina Fey, Will Ferrell, Ellen DeGeneres, Jay Leno, and many other amazing comedy legends!
