MEET THE 2023 80-FOOT-TALL ROCKEFELLER CENTER CHRISTMAS TREE

The Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center is always beautiful, and this year, we expect the same.
According to AP News, “an 80-foot-tall (24-meter) Norway spruce from the Binghamton area has been selected as this year’s Rockefeller Center Christmas tree and will be cut down and trucked to New York City next week. The tree will be cut on Nov. 9 in Vestal, New York, and will arrive at Rockefeller Center in midtown Manhattan on Nov. 11”.
It takes a large crew of people to take on the task of decorating the tree with over 50,000 lights and a beautiful topper. It’s three dimensional is made of 70 spikes including 3 million Swarovski crystals. The star weighs approximately 900 pounds. Learn more about the history here!
The tree will be lit during a live TV broadcast on Wednesday, Nov. 29 on NBC. The tree will remain on display until Jan. 13, 2024.
