Iowa Women’s Basketball Breaks Attendance Record

Well, more like “shattered” the attendance record.
The “Crossover at Kennick” event was held on Sunday where the University of Iowa Women’s Basketball team played in front of 55,000 people. The former record was just over 29,000, which was set in 2002 during the NCAA Women’s National Championship.
According to the Des Moines Gazette:
Proceeds went to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, and a preliminary check for $250,000 was handed over during a break in the action Sunday.
The team defeated DePaul 94-72 with the help of star guard Caitlyn Clark’s triple double.
