When you think about locations for major motion pictures, you won’t often think of Duluth, Minnesota. But over the last few months, it’s been a hot bed of activity.
Director James Cameron was reportedly in the area recently, allegedly scouting filming locations. And basically on the same level as a legendary filmmaker in town, a Hallmark Christmas movie was filmed there recently.
According to Bring Me The News:
“Rescuing Christmas” will become available to stream on Thursday, Dec. 7 on the Hallmark Channel streaming platform, Hallmark Movies Now. The movie, starring Rachael Leigh Cook and Sam Page, “follows an anti-Christmas photographer as she wishes Christmas would disappear,”
“Rescuing Christmas”? It’s a good title, I guess. But I’m feeling like “Lake Superior Christmas” is better. But no one asked me. I’m willing to bet the main character had some bad relationship luck around the holidays, but eventually falls for the hunky boat captain and somehow finds the true meaning of the season.
It writes itself.
