Z93’s Night Host, Grant, Makes New York Post

We’re just as shocked as you are.
Back in June, Grant Bilse, host of WKTY’s “Wisco Sports Show”, and late night personality on Z93, put together a podcast, documenting how a Brewers promotion potentially saved the team’s season: Paige Spiranac Bobble Head Night.
It’s a light-hearted (and very funny) look back on how the promotion came to be after a golf personality was tapped to promote the golf complex that was built at American Family Field. Kind of an “espn-esque 30 for 30” style documentary.
Ryan Glasspiegel, sports writer for the New York Post wrote a very detailed feature on the doc and somewhat gave credence to the case Grant made that the promotion *did* turn the season around.
Upon first glance, it would seem farfetched that the golf influencer could have such … influence … on an entirely different sport, but the team’s record actually backs up the idea that the event was an inflection point. The Brewers defeated the Pirates 5-4 that night and wound up finishing 92-70 to win the NL Central by nine games over the Cubs, meaning that the Spiranac promotion kicked off a streak in which Milwaukee went 58-36.
You can read the whole feature here.
