GET INVOLVED WITH HABITAT FOR HUMANITY’S NEIGHBORS DAY
Written by Ballzer on April 12, 2023
Neighbors Day is a family-friendly event for the community to come together to help beautify the City of La Crosse by providing the elderly and disabled citizens of the City of La Crosse with help cleaning up their yards for spring. This year’s Neighbors Day event is Saturday, April 22nd from 8 am-3 pm at Myrick Park Center.
As a volunteer, you would be doing simple tasks such as: raking yards, trimming shrubs, washing windows, turning gardens, and cleaning up the marsh. You will be given the products and tools necessary to complete the tasks, and will also be served lunch for your hard work! Bring your friends or your family members and make a fun day of it!
Kahya Fox, Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity La Crosse Area, joined the Z93 Morning Buzz to talk about the event and how to get involved:
Last year, over 400 people volunteered at over 200 homes, bringing much-needed help to neighbors throughout the city.
Register as a recipient of Neighbors Day, through end of day 4/13, or sign up to volunteer through next week! For more info and sign ups, go to www.habitatlacrosse.org/neighbors-day, call (608) 673-5678, or email info@habitatlacrosse.org.
