WISCONSIN RANKED “DRUNKEST” STATE, AGAIN

I’m feeling like this shouldn’t be a thing that we celebrate anymore.

According to research by the site 247WallStreet.com, Wisconsin was ranked number on drunkest state once again. The data showed that about 1 in 4 adults drink heavily, which is about 6% higher than the national average. A whopping 35% of all fatal car accidents are alcohol-related which is about 9% higher than the national average.

Iowa was a close 2nd with about 24% of adults who claim they drink heavily with South Dakota, North Dakota and Montana rounding out the top 5.

Excessive drinking puts you at risk for alcohol poisoning, hypertension, acute myocardial infarction, sexually transmitted infections, unintended pregnancy, fetal alcohol syndrome, and suicide.
