Never fear parents, a “smart diaper” has been developed! The diaper has “technology to send a mobile alert to a caregiver’s phone that their baby needs a change.” Do we need this?!
A research team from Penn State has developed a “design integrated with humidity sensors to create what they are calling: a ‘smart diaper’.”

Li Yang, professor in the School of Artificial Intelligence at China’s Hebei University of Technology, says, “You don’t need to have some piece of multi-million-dollar equipment for fabrication. You just need to be able to draw within the lines of a pre-drawn electrode on a treated piece of paper. It can be done simply and quickly.”
I guess it would eliminate the confusion of trying to guess between dirty diaper, hungry, or tired, cries. Could this actually make things easier for parents? Maybe!
