Jesse’s Top 3 Songs Of 2022

2022 will probably be remembered for a lot of things. A lot of things that I can’t remember off the top of my head. We had an election. And….other stuff? But for all the memorable things that the year has brought us, there’s been some really cool music that’s been released.
So here are my picks for the top 3 songs of the year. I could have stretched it out to at least a top 5, but nah.
3. “Heavy Eyes”- Zach Bryan
Zach Bryan has made a lot of “Best Of” lists this year and for very good reason: His music is wonderful. And there’s plenty of his stuff out there. Go on a long drive and listen to his album, “American Heartbreak”.
2. “Just Pretend” -Bad Omens
Bad Omens has been around for only a few years but man, are they making moves in the Rock world. I, like a lot of people, found this one through TikTok and it’s beautiful. Just the right mix of haunting and hard hitting and I can’t recommend this one enough.
1. Betty (Get Money)- Yung Gravy
Another TikTok discovery. Gravy kept popping up in my FYP and I’m like, “Who’s this dude with the deep voice and dresses like a BeeGee? He’s a rapper?!” The Rochester, Minnesota native turned a ton of heads this year with this ultra catchy, Rick Astley- sampled, banger.
