2ND ANNUAL ANTHONY’S DAY FUNDRAISER IN MEMORY OF ANTHONY FIMPLE THIS SUNDAY
Written by Ballzer on July 8, 2022
Just over two years ago, a shooting at the Twisted Moose took the life of an amazing young man. 19 year old Anthony Fimple was so much more than a bouncer. Everyone who knew him praised his kindness and generosity.
Anthony’s family and friends are keeping his legacy alive with the 2nd annual celebration of life. Anthony’s Day is a free event happening at Myrick Park this Sunday, July 10, from noon til 5 p.m.
Anthony’s father, Gus Fimple, stopped in with Anthony’s friend and co-worker, Jake Amundson, to tell us what to expect:
All proceeds from this Sunday’s event will benefit The Anthony Fund, a non-profit set up last year through the La Crosse Community Foundation. More information and online donations can be found on their webpage.
Find more information on the event and all the activities planned in the Facebook group and on their event.
A reminder for those attending, La Crosse street is under construction so you’ll need to enter Myrick Park from the East, taking La Crosse St. from Losey Blvd.
