Atlanta-born star Kandi Burruss has catapulted from singer and hit songwriter to businesswoman, entrepreneur, actress, TV personality and proud mother — and she effortlessly balances it all. Somehow she even managed to squeeze in a chat with Brittany and Ballzer!
Kandi has starred on 12 seasons of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” (The #1 Show on Bravo). And she’s been nominated for a People’s Choice Award the last two years. Kandi also stars on “The Chi” on Showtime and was the first female winner of “The Masked Singer” on Fox.
Kandi is a founding member of the chart topping girl group Xscape. She’s also a Grammy Award Winner and recipient of the ASCAP Songwriter of the Year Award for songs she’s written for Pink, Whitney Houston, Destiny’s Child, *NSYNC, Mariah Carey, Usher, Alicia Keys, Boys II Men, and TLC.
Her latest show, Kandi & The Gang,” just premiered on Bravo. It follows the heart and soul behind the Atlanta restaurant Old Lady Gang (“OLG”) named after, and run by, Kandi’s mom, Mama Joyce, and Aunts Nora and Bertha.
