REGGAE GROUP SUES DUA LIPA FOR STEALING “LEVITATING”

Usually when these law suits come out, I hear the song and think it’s a stretch. Sure, the chord progression or lyrics may be similar, but saying it’s a rip-off seems extreme. This one, however, sounds like it has some weight behind it. Reggae group Artikal Sound System are suing Dua Lipa, and her record label, because “Levitating” sounds an awful lot like their 2017 song, “Live Your Life,” and they’re not wrong.
