WINNERS OF MN DOT’S ‘NAME A SNOWPLOW’ CONTEST DID NOT DISAPPOINT
Written by Ballzer on February 4, 2022
It’s possible that there will never be enough tributes to Betty White. A snowplow named after the legend wasn’t on my list of expected signs of respect but I am here for it.
After a successful “Name A Snowplow” contest last year, the Minnesota Department of Transportation announced another contest this year. They’ve announced the 50 finalists and 8 winners. No surprise that the one named after the icon, Betty White, got the most votes. I’m also stoked that “Edward Blizzardhands,” one of my picks from last year, got into the Top 8.
The top 8 winners
- Betty Whiteout – District 8
- Ctrl Salt Delete – District 7
- The Big Leplowski – District 4
- Plowasaurus Rex – Metro District
- Scoop Dogg – District 3
- Blizzard of Oz – District 2
- No More Mr. Ice Guy – District 1
- Edward Blizzardhands – District 6
Drumroll, please… here are your new snowplow names, Minnesota!
