APPLETON NATIVE WILLEM DAFOE BUSTS OUT HIS WISCONSIN ACCENT ON SNL

Written by on January 31, 2022

If ya didn’t know, Willem Dafoe was born and raised in Appleton, Wisconsin and went to college at UW-Milwaukee. After decades of success in Hollywood, Dafoe finally got his turn to host SNL this weekend and was great!

In the monologue, he was interrupted by a couple from Appleton, played by Aidy Bryant and Mikey Day. They said he lost his Wisconsin accent, so Willem busted it out, and he’s still got it!

Extra points for a bubbler reference, the only thing missing is a Kwik Trip shout out.

Other highlights include Dafoe and Aidy Bryant hosting a Bad Dog Show:

And Katy Perry was the musical guest, bringing the weird Katy action we love with her new song with Alesso, “When I’m Gone” and dancing… mushrooms?

And a toned down performance of “Never Really Over”
