If you spent anytime on social media yesterday, you may have seen people freaking out over the announcement of the “When We Were Young” festival, set to take place in Las Vegas in October.
And understandably so. This lineup is crazy. It’s like a Vans Warped Tour date from 2004 on steroids.
Just look at that. It’s just so beautiful!
But a little time has passed and the news has been met with skepticism. The festival is slated to last for 12 hours and bands will be performing on 3 stages. And that flyer is advertising 67 acts. Let’s say every one of the bands played for 20 minutes apiece. That’s way more than 12 hours. Also, questions are being raised regarding safety seeing that we’re still deep in a pandemic and the promotional company putting the show on was the same organization that oversaw Travis Scott’s Astroworld show a few months back.
All I can say at this point, please don’t let this be a scam. We’ve been through enough these last two years. All of us aging emo kids need to sob together to Dashboard Confessional.
