Summer has only ended but we’re never too far away from thoughts of the holiday season. The big box stores putting out Christmas decor. Stories about how folks should start their shopping early due to potential shortages and delays on certain items.
In fact, 1 out of 3 people have claimed they’ve already started their shopping for family and friends. But a new poll found that material items as a gift isn’t the biggest seller this year. It’s experiences. 54% of people said that they’re more willing to spend their money this year on activities that create memories with their loved ones like concerts and vacations.
In my experience, I’ve found this is a great way to go. Especially if the gift is something that appeals to common interests. My girlfriend Katie and I have gone this route for a few years now, mostly going to concerts, and we’ve always had a blast. So this year, create a memory or two. You won’t regret it!
