FB TEAMS UP WITH RAY-BAN FOR SMART GLASSES AND WE’RE FREAKED OUT

Written by on September 28, 2021

I honestly don’t know how I feel about this. Part of me thinks it’s pretty amazing and fun. The other part of me is mortified at the thought of people being able to snap photos of anything and everything without being noticed.

Facebook introduces the Ray Ban Stories smart glasses. Available for $299, the glasses, which come in a variety of styles including sunglasses or as clear prescriptions, have two built-in 5-megapixel cameras and 3 built-in microphones to record audio or take phone calls. Once you’ve downloaded the app and set up your Ray-ban Stories, you can import and edit photos and videos, create and share unique content, and manage settings. You can download the Facebook View app from the App Store or Google Play. They’re about as close to looking like actual glasses as possible.

The glasses also come with a compact, portable charging case to charge your frames on the go. A fully charged frame will capture and sync up to 50 videos, or up to 200 photos.

Ultimately, it doesn’t matter if I find them creepy or not, because I’m not spending $300 on them, anyway!
