STEPPIN’ OUT IN PINK WITH GUNDERSEN HEALTH SYSTEM – SEPTEMBER 11TH

Written by on August 24, 2021

Whether it’s your own diagnosis, a friend, family member, an acquaintance…unfortunately, breast cancer has most likely affected you. Join us in the effort to raise funds for continued local breast cancer research. We’re stronger together. Steppin’ Out in Pink with Gundersen Health System is Saturday, September 11th. This will be the 16th year of raising money for breast cancer research and awareness.

Steppin’ Out in Pink is a walk for local breast cancer research and other breast cancer initiatives at Gundersen Health System. It’s the faces and stories of survivors. It’s hope. Your continued support will help further local breast cancer research initiatives at Gundersen Medical Foundation, help breast cancer patients in need, subsidize mammograms to the uninsured and underinsured in our region, and lend support to the services of the Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders and Norma J. Vinger Center for Breast Care. You can walk at the event, walk virtually, volunteer, or simply make a donation. There are lots of ways to make an impact!

Patty Brown was being treated for breast cancer at Gundersen Health System 16 years ago, when she got an idea for a local breast cancer fundraising walk. Click here for the full story.

Steppin’ Out in Pink 2021 will look different, but one thing hasn’t changed; the hope it provides to survivors and communities. Walk where you’re comfortable this year. Virtual and in-person options are available! There will also be a market at the event and morning yoga! Register here for Steppin’ out in Pink 2021 and you could win a 65″ Smart TV from Festival Foods! Hear Tia Sneath from Gundersen chat with the Z93 Morning Buzz about the event here.

You’ll see our friendly faces along the walk, as we’ll be at mile markers encouraging you and cheering you on!
