PINK OFFERS TO PAY FINES FOR HANDBALL TEAM NOT WANTING TO WEAR BIKINI BOTTOMS

If you missed it; Norway’s women’s beach handball team has been fined for refusing to play in bikini bottoms during a game in the sport’s Euro 2021 tournament.
Although men are allowed to play in tank tops and shorts, women are required to wear bikini bottoms. The women from Norway’s team thought that was absurd (yep), so they wore shorts. But…they have to pay for their decision. The team was fined 1,500 euros ($1,767). Here’s where it gets good. Singer, Pink has offered to pay for the fine!
I’m VERY proud of the Norwegian female beach handball team FOR PROTESTING THE VERY SEXIST RULES ABOUT THEIR “uniform”. The European handball federation SHOULD BE FINED FOR SEXISM. Good on ya, ladies. I’ll be happy to pay your fines for you. Keep it up.

The women have been petitioning for the change in clothing requirements, but so far it’s a no-go. As you can imagine, the women had support flowing in!

Can you please stop the forced bikini nonsense at your beach handball games?
It is embarrassing, disgraceful and sexist.
You are ruining both the sport and your own reputation.

This is some BS. Is this an event about sporting excellence or is this about women wearing bikini bottoms to titillate men??Meanwhile the men taking part in the same sport wear shorts practically down to their knees. How many of the EC tournament organisers were women? ? https://t.co/XNTRKacwKU

Time will tell if the clothing requirements will change, but they certainly made their statement!
