ELLE MARK IS THE NEW ‘MISS MINNESOTA’
Written by Ballzer on July 1, 2021
She’s a former Miss La Crosse/Oktoberfest and now she’s Miss Minnesota. Congrats to our friend, Elle Mark! Elle was recently crowned Miss Minnesota, and she’s headed to Miss America in December!
We had the opportunity to chat with Elle and find out how things have been since her win, what’s ahead, and everything she needs to prepare for.
According to the Miss Minnesota website, “Elle created the campaign “Warrior, Not Worrier: Conquering Mental Illness” to raise awareness of and honor the 1 in 5 Americans who battle mental illness every day (NIMH, 2021). This campaign served as her Social Impact Initiative during her time as Miss La Crosse / Oktoberfest 2018. As Miss La Crosse / Oktoberfest, Elle raised over $1,100 to support mental health initiatives in the 7 Rivers Region and spent countless hours advocating and educating others on what mental illness is.”
Elle continues these efforts as Miss Minnesota and also in her every day career. “She works full-time as the Prevention Education Manager and Certified Prevention Professional at Mn Adult & Teen Challenge. She also serves on the Associate Board of the Boys and Girls Club of the Twin Cities and can often be found at the local dog park with her rescue pup, Willmar Taffy.”
She’s a great human being, and we’re lucky to call her a friend. Congrats to Elle, and best of luck at Miss America. We’ll be chatting with her again, soon!
