When I work up this morning and checked Twitter, I thought, “Why is a tweet just featuring a news reporter’s headshot getting so many retweets and likes?” And just like anything that goes viral now, it took a little digging.
A TV station in Idaho had tweeted out a photo and a bio of one of their reporters and the internet thought it was hilarious.
The tweet just said, “Mark Johnson” and when you click the link, it basically leads you nowhere, just adding to the mystery. And as these things do, it lead to the memes.
After his name blew up on Twitter, Mark Johnson himself even reacted to it.
So considering how heated social media has been, this was a very much needed palette cleanser.
