She’s always had the voice of an angel!
Sarah Brailey is from La Crosse, WI and a 2000 graduate of Central High School. Sarah and I attended Longfellow Middle School and Central High School together, where we sang in show choir and Robed Choir. Now, she’s on to bigger and better things like WINNING GRAMMY AWARDS!
Sarah and Dashon Burton, along with the Experiential Orchestra, won the Best Classical Solo Vocal Album award at Sunday’s GRAMMY celebrations. So cool!

We talked with Sarah about her experience, what it was like waiting for such big news, and her big GRAMMY win!
Sarah is a freelance soprano, accomplished cellist, a doctoral candidate at the University of Wisconsin, the artistic director of the Handel Aria Competition, and co-founder of the monthly concert series Just Bach.

It’s pretty cool to say that I grew up, went to school, and sang with someone who won a GRAMMY! This was the first time I’ve verbally spoken to Sarah since high school. We of course stay in touch through social media, but it was really nice to hear her voice. She sounds the same and has the same sweetness to her as I remember. Congrats Sarah! You’ve earned it, and I’m so happy for you!
