Dating is already tough. I imagine it the pandemic hasn’t made it any easier with apps and Zoom dates and the countless hoops you jump through just to make a connection. But my question is, why would you go and make things harder by being this petty?
A Milwaukee woman named Alex Coboth tweeted a conversation she had with a man that she’d gone out with several times but ultimately, things didn’t work out. It happens. This is the screenshot:
DUDE ASKED TO BE REIMBURSED 35 BUCKS? Are you serious??
This is the work of what is known as a “Nice Guy”. This is when someone feels entitled to attention just for being nice, but then get bent out of shape when things don’t go their way.
So what did we learn from this? Well, I think the main thing to take away from this story is don’t be petty, be respectful when someone is upfront with you, and if you asked to be repaid the $35 you spent on dinner and drinks, expect to be called out on the internet.
