Happy Birthday Justin Bieber!

Whoa! It’s Justin Bieber’s birthday and the man is 27 years old. How….how is that even possible? Seems like just last week that he was sporting that swoopy, shaggy haircut and how he was gonna tell us one time that he loves you.
The impact of Justin Bieber’s popularity can’t be undersold. He blew up in a fashion that only rivaled the likes of The Backstreet Boys and N Sync in the 90’s. And with the launch of social media platforms like Twitter, the amount of eyeballs on his product couldn’t help but grow in huge numbers.
Plus, remember last summer when he and his wife Hailey made a brief stay out at Lake Neshonoc? Just staying in the area made the local news.
Since the beginning of The Biebs’ career until now, he’s come out with some incredibly classic material so in celebration of Justin’s birthday, I thought I’d compile a list of my top 3 favorite songs.
3. Boyfriend
I will stand by my argument that the early 2010’s was a great (yet underrated) time for pop music. And as the spring of 2012 came around, Stan’s were clamoring for new stuff from Justin. And it swings for the fences! Plus, it features Justin serenading a mystery girl with his acoustic guitar. Great video.
2. As Long As You Love Me
Teaming up with Big Sean on this one, it features a really cool dubstep kind of beat and showed his base the kind of emotion in his music that he adds to his music today.

Of course, the top spot has to go where it all started. As weird as it is for a 36 year old adult to admit, I remember where I was when I first heard this song. And it immediately sucked me in. Who’s this fifteen year old kid with this really cool voice? It still holds up really well and I still love playing it from time to time on Z for the 4:30 Throwback.
