Will Smith (the actor) and Will Smith (the Dodgers catcher) teamed up for a video call to surprise 8-year-old Aaron Moreno. On the latest episode of Will Smith’s Snapchat series “Will From Home,” he welcomed 8-year-old Aaron Moreno to his show to surprise him with some great news because of his heroism, and love for his family.
The 8-year old’s mother, Berenice Pacheco, lost her job in March and she was forced to move her family into a shed in East L.A. His sister had to go to Mexico to live with other family members, because they were barely making ends meet. Aaron told his mom he had an idea to start a business selling plants. She gave him her last $12 and with hard work and determination; Aaron turned it into hundreds, and then thousands more as he gained attention on his GoFundMe page. They eventually had enough money for a car, an apartment, and now they’ve brought his sister back to live with them. Just incredible.
Watch the video to learn more about their story, and see the Will Smith(s) surprise the Moreno family!
They invited the family to play the game “Which Will?” to win some fantastic prizes like Dodgers tickets, an invitation to batting practice, a PlayStation 5, and a $10,000 gift from community network Nextdoor.
This would be incredible for an adult to be able to do something like this. But an 8-year-old?! Just incredible. Someone get me a Kleenex…
