No doubt 2020 has been a big year for Cardi B. Now, she will be named Woman of the Year at Billboard‘s Women in Music event on Dec. 10. Of course, the event will be virtual this year, but there’s still big awards to get people excited.
Not surprisingly, there’s some haters out there and Cardi wasn’t having it. She took to Instagram for a video with lots of expletives 😉 Here’s a clean(er) summary of her video: “For you crybabies that’s like ‘what? she only got one song’ – yeah I got that song, b!t(h…You know? The one that sold the most, the one that streamed the most. The one that had republicans on Fox News crying about it. The one that’s about to be six times platinum in three months.”
Jennifer Lopez will be given the Icon Award for her impact on the music industry!
Dua Lipa is scheduled to receive the Powerhouse Award after dominating sales in 2020. Chloe x Halle will receive the Rising Star Award and Dolly Parton is 2020’s Hitmaker Award recipient. Grab the full deets here.
