Day Trip to Rochester, Mn
Written by Ballzer on August 31, 2020
Rochester, Mn, will always have a special place in my heart because I went to Esthetics school there back in 2015. While going to school in Rochester, I fell in love with many restaurants, shops, and made lifelong friends. One of my favorite things to do is take a day trip to Rochester with my boyfriend Noah and visit our favorite spots. There are so many fun things to do for the day, and the best part is it’s only an hour drive from Lacrosse! Below I rounded up our favorite spots that I highly recommend checking out.
Fiddlehead Coffee Co.
The first stop on our day trip to Rochester is the cutest coffee shop?? Fiddlehead was founded in 2017, and their mission is to build and restore local communities by establishing a culture of service and sustainability. Fiddlehead offers pastries and coffee all brewed in house, a healthy lunch and dinner cafe with beer, wine, and cocktails all ethically sourced with local ingredients. I had the Banana cream cold brew, and it was the most delicious coffee I have ever had? There Fall menu comes out next week, and I can’t wait to make another trip to Fiddlehead Coffee Co.☕️
Nupá Mediterranean Cuisine- Lunch Stop
Nupá in Rochester is a must stop for the world’s most delicious Gyro! Okay, honestly, I don’t know if it’s the world most delicious, but it’s hands down the best Gyro I have ever had? Every time I go to Rochester, I have to stop at Nupá. They now have three different locations in Rochester. The food is always super fast, fresh, healthy, and SO delicious. My go-to order is the gyro and fries! The gyro comes with tomatoes, lettuce, onion, and the tastiest tzatziki sauce on the side? If you don’t prefer lamb meat, they have so many different options you can have on your gyro. You can have your gyro with rice or fries, but I always order the fries because they are seasoned so well and honestly, some of the best fries I have ever had!
Flowers by Jerry- Flower Shop & Boutique
Flower by Jerry is a lush floral greenhouse with the cutest gift boutique! You can find a variety of home decor, floral arrangements, clothes, body care products, and so much more. They just had a Harvest Market + Brunch event to kick off Fall! They offer a variety of produce, plants, and gifts and had Bleu Duck Kitchen Food Truck serve brunch! We stopped by and I found the prettiest Fall floral arrangement and velvet pumpkins for my house?? Make sure to follow them on Instagram for upcoming events!
Forager Brewery- Drinks & Food
Forager Brewery offers a full menu of delicious dishes all sourced from local farmers. Foragers beer is all made on-site, in their brewery. Noah got a flight of beer, which is perfect for trying a ton of different flavors. I got the frozen margarita, which was so delicious! But like my friend Katie said, don’t order the frozen margarita if your driving. It’s super strong? Forager has the cutest outdoor patio, so even during COVID, you can enjoy some drinks! Forager Brewery is a must stop for lunch or even for a few drinks.
Trader Joe’s- Grocery Store
