JENNIFER HUDSON CONVINCES US, A CHANGE IS COMING!

No matter which side of the fence you’re on with politics, I think we can all agree that this performance by Jennifer Hudson, that happened to take place at the Democratic National Convention, is much needed. The message is true, strong, and means more than ever. Forget the sides for a moment and just listen to the truth she sings.

As she starts in, “I was born by the river.” She’s got me, 100%. I’ve got goose bumps and tears in my eyes already. And then, “It’s been a long time comin’, but I know…a change is gonna come.” And I’m done! Straight up bawling as I’m listening to the message of this classic by the late and great Sam Cook, who sings about hardships and struggles he went through during his lifetime. I’ve always been a fan of the song. But I think at this moment in time, with everything we’re going through in this world, the message still rings true. And paired with the incredible power of Jennifer’s voice…it’s just inspiring. I don’t know about you, but I’m desperately in need of some of that inspiration right now. I hope you enjoy.
