EmbedTek, in the Milwaukee suburb of Waukesha, has developed a peer-to-peer social distancing and contact tracking device. The device, called PariRange™, can be used by businesses to support the health and safety of its workforce without the concern for breach of privacy. They’re small, wearable devices that don’t use WiFi or GPS so they don’t follow your location, only measure interactions with other devices. Entrepreneur Shravan Gupta donated a significant sum to the project. We spoke with Dan Aicher, CEO of EmbedTek, about how it works, how it can help, and what it could be used for in the future:
