WATCH THE (FAKE) KENTUCKY DERBY TOMORROW!
Written by Ballzer on May 1, 2020
The Kentucky Derby was originally scheduled for tomorrow but has been postponed til September 5 but that doesn’t mean nothing is happening this weekend. The track came up with a computer-simulated race and nationwide at-home Derby party to help raise money for COVID-19 emergency relief funds. NBC will be airing a 3 hour special featuring a fake race between 13 past Triple Crown winners as well as the 2015 Kentucky Derby that began American Pharoah’s Triple Crown run.
You can pick a favorite horse to win the virtual race online and make a charitable donation to help the fundraiser.
Churchill Downs will join the Kentucky Derby Museum to offer virtual tours, Derby cocktail and fascinator-making instructions, ideas for party decorations, kids’ crafts, Derby-inspired recipes, an at-home Derby fashion contest and much more. Check out the full details HERE
Join us May 2nd for a Virtual #KyDerbyAtHome Party featuring the Triple Crown Showdown where the 13 Triple Crown winners will race one another in a computer simulation under the historic Twin Spires of Churchill Downs.
