MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND FUN WITH THE FAM #FITFUNFAB

Memorial Day weekend means that summer is coming and school is either already done for the year, or we’re close! But, sometimes it’s easy to forget the true meaning of Memorial Day, and why it’s important. While you’re enjoying the long weekend with the fam, teach the kiddos that Memorial Day is about remembering the men and women who have sacrificed their lives, in service with the U.S. Armed Forces, to protect our freedom. Here are a few of the Memorial Day parades happening around town on Monday, May 27th:

La Crosse Memorial Day Parade will leave at the intersection of King and 6th Streets in downtown La Crosse promptly at 9am. It will proceed on King to West Ave. North on West Ave. to Badger Street. East on Badger Street to Oakland Avenue into Forrest Drive across La Crosse Street to the Oak Grove Cemetery through the Losey Arch.

Onalaska Memorial Day Parade starts at 9:30am from American Legion Post 336 to Onalaska Cemetery Veterans Memorial.

Holmen Memorial Day Parade starts at 9:30am at St. Elizabeth’s Church and ends at Halfway Creek band shelter.
